CONDITION DETAILS

Original, unlined canvas. Fine craquelure throughout the painting's surface as well as two abrasion lines middle to upper left quadrant. An arching line in the centre of the sky covers a crack in some places on the line. Small paint loss lower left quadrant. Frame abrasion and wear to lower right and upper edges of canvas.

The canvas is British and stamped verso: "George Rowney & Co., London [UK]" as well as "Wilh Beckers (poss. Reckers?), Stockholm". Indistinct pen and ink label verso in Swedish dated 1887.
