Acquired by the Dominion Gallery in February 1970 from a prominent business and community leader in Montreal who had fled Czechoslovakia with his family in the late 1930s;
Sold to Dr. and Mrs. J. Morton, Belleville, Ontario, on April 2, 1974;
Estate Collection, Ontario

CONDITION DETAILS

A vertical crack in the panel at top centre measures 3.5 inches. Possible pitting to varnish in some areas. Frame abrasion/wear to top front edge of panel. Black light shows crazing overpainted in the ground between the two men at left.
