Trevor Pierce worked for the Red Cross after WWII in Austria; Gailis was a refugee in the Austrian Displaced Persons Camp.

CONDITION DETAILS

Original canvas, not relined. Some craquelure to the more textured areas of the painting.
The book measures 14" x 11 1/2". Spine is cracked 1/2 way up from the bottom, water stains at left on cover; light mat burn at edges of the cover.
