Lot Report

Although Kenojuak focused on a limited range of subject matter, her treatment of the subject was what set her apart from other Inuit artists doing the same thing. Kenojuak was not focused on narration, her intent was to create beautiful images that would please the viewer. Form was of paramount importance and without the constraints of representation she was able to create some of the most iconic images in Canadian art.
