Provenance:

Private Collection, British Columbia

Note:

A superb iteration of Pauta Saila’s joyously dancing bears. With control of proportion both deft and imaginative, the bear’s sinuous outline has been sculpted with confident precision. The mass of the bear perched on one truncated foot, the animal seems ready to bob and twist in playful and exultant motion.
