Note:

Here in this curious amalgam of bird and seal we see many of the characteristics of the artist Pauta Saila. Sculpted from the beautiful mottled green stone found near Kinngait (Cape Dorset), the sculpture is more silhouette than finished form, but might be all the more charming for it.
