Sandra Buhai Barz, Inuit Artists Print Workbook, Volume III, Book 2: Print Documentation p. 359

Note:

There is no print chop to identify the artist but the print has been attributed to Kudlalak. James Houston states that the original image came from a carved tusk and that Kudalalak was already dead in 1958.

Barz tells that there was a Kudlalak from Povungnituk and there is an image of the artist in Canadian Eskimo art [Canada. Department of Northern Affairs and National Resources, 1965, p. 8/9]. It is possible that he participated in the Dorset print shop activities.

Both Jonassie Salamonie and Mungitok’s wife attribute the work to Mungitok. Likewise, Terry Ryan notes that the work is appears to be in the style of Mungitok.
