Additional Images
Provenance:
From the Dr. and Mrs. Philip H. Gray Collection of Inuit Art
Note:
“The dancing couple is one of Kalvak’s favorite themes. The dancers wear bonnets trimmed with a loon’s beak and an ermine. As they dance, the skin must be twisted around the beak with a swing of the head.”
