IKAYUKTA TUNNILLIE (1911-1980)
Note:
“Angakuk is the Inuktitut word for shaman. A shaman’s tent was usually distinguished from other tents. In this case, the birds heads emerging from the three tents indicate they belong to a shaman. The birds are the shaman’s helping spirits.”
