Note:

According to a story recounted in the introduction of 1974 Arctic Quebec catalogue, Kajutaijuq is “a malevolent spirit that comes knocking in the night. This spirit has no body, only feet which are attached to its head and sex organs which are contained on the face. Innuit [sic] legends tell of this evil spirit knocking on the walls of igloos during the night. It is seldom seen - a fortunate thing, since the Innuit [sic] believe that to catch a glimpse of the Kajutaijuq augurs ill for the beholder.”
