Note:

A talented and early Iqaluit (Frobisher Bay) artist, little else is known about Manno. The artist is perhaps best remembered for his iconic creation Bear on Ice, which toured across the world in the 1971 exhibition Sculpture of the Inuit: Masterworks of the Canadian ArcticBear on Ice was also featured on the cover of the first ever large-scale dedicated auction of Inuit art, The William Eccles Collection of Eskimo Art, held at Waddington's on the 23th of February 1978. The present sculpture Bears Fighting Over Walrus was also highlighted in the important Eccles sale.
