Additional Images

Provenance:
Private collection, Toronto, ON
Note:
Charlie Ugyuk gives us a delightful image of a drum dancing mother and child. Often central to lively celebration and rarely if ever used outside of communal gatherings, the hoop drum is closely associated with community and shared experience, as perhaps here where it is accompanied by a shared vital expression on the face of both mother and child.
