"Kananginak is perhaps better known for his prints, because of his long time association with the Cape Dorset print collection, but his sculpture is clearly equal to that of his drawings. By leaving his stone largely intact, he conveys the massiveness and majesty of the animal, and low relief incisions replicate the sway of the musk-ox's long shaggy coat."
