Note:
A label on the reverse of this artwork explains, “The next day a council is called to agree on contributions to assist the children.
As the elders known as the Old Stones, approach the chief’s lodge, the children are taken from the lodge to other quarters.
As a result of the affection and concern shown by their elders, the children are seen enjoying the situation, rather than being frightened by it.”
