Note:

Working predominantly in the medium of watercolour, Allan Brooks was an eminent ornithologist and bird artist. He is best remembered for his contributions to the study and discovery of North American wildlife and for his illustrations in Taverner’s Birds of Western Canada (1926) and Birds of Canada (1934). Canadian Heritage proclaimed him a person of Canadian Historical Importance in 2000.
