This drawing depicts the artist Peter Haworth, who was a fellow member of the Arts & Letters Club and was often a fellow diner with Lismer at the “Artist’s Table”. Thom writes, “Obviously Haworth was either doubtful or perplexed at the conversation and seems to cast a baleful glance at his unseen companion.”
