Lot Report

Literature:

Michael Bell, Colville Being Seen: The Serigraphs, Ottawa, 1994, pages 62-63 and Plate 29, illustrated.

Note:

Often the Colvilles will acquire a new object and it will soon become part of an image. The objects will likely be of superior quality such as the Aga stove in this work. Bell writes: “The artist saw the configuration of the dog Min, Rhoda, and the stove and used a Polaroid camera to capture the stooping movement of his wife.”
