Charles Pachter, M Is For Moose: A Charles Pachter Alphabet, Toronto, 2008, n.p., for a 2004 version of Red Barn Reflected reproduced in colour (representing “R is for Red Barn Reflected, what beautiful colours the artist collected”).

Describing the creative process in the artist’s original barn series, Welsh-Ovcharov writes: “In 1987 Pachter began working with an electronic graphics program that enabled him to sketch and store variations of a visual idea. Green Barn Reflected, 1988, and Oro Barns Seen From My Window, 1989 (collection Centre d’Art Presence Van Gogh, St. Remy de Provence, France) were both composed in this innovative new medium.
