Commemorating the victory of the British over the French and their native allies in the North American theatre of the Seven Years' War (The French and Indian War); specifically, the fall of Montreal in September of 1760. The outcome of this was one of the most significant developments in a century of Anglo-French conflict: the 'Conquest of Canada' and further expansion of the British Empire.
