on vellum, signed indistinctly by the commander of the Regiment and by Adjutant to the Regiment and dated at Hilton Head, February 27th, 1863, with albumin print portrait of Collins dated 1861, and annotation: ‘Collings was killed in the night assault on Fort Wagner, Charleston Harbor, 1863’
