Note:

The American novelist, Winston Churchill (1841-1947), lived next door to Kenyon’s summer residence at Cornish, New Hampshire. On more than one occasion, Kenyon pleaded with Winston to remove the Jersey’s bell ringers as they made too much noise in the mornings.
