A print of this edition is held in the Collection of the Vancouver Art Gallery, as “The Old Empress of Japan Figurehead, Stanley Park”, 1939.

The figurehead is from the Royal Mail Ship Empress of Japan, the trans-Pacific ocean liner of the Canadian Pacific Railway built in England, it
remained in active service until 1922.
