Pen and ink and watercolour washes in colour and en grisaille on paper laid down to a card support with monogram initial stamp: "FR in an H"; to the card support verso, the bottom margin of the card support inscribed: "Rowlan - 4" in pencil, the card verso inscribed indistinctly in pencil "Rowlandson del", variously titled to two old unknown auction labels verso and inscribed in pen and ink, in quotes “Pass a grille” to another label verso
