Lot Report

Provenance:

Collection of Jane & Ken Wright, Cambridge/Toronto
Portia Paperweights, Chicago, IL, 2002

Note:

Jim started collecting paperweights in the mid 1990's and this casual hobby soon became an obsession. In 1999 he enrolled at Tennessee Technological University in the Glass Program under Curtis Brock. He has progressed rapidly and this weight is evidence of that. He makes all his own canes and is strongly influenced by the old masters, particularly the English glass workers.
