The historic architecture of Vancouver is not as prominent as it once was, however it still holds a dignified place in our city. These structures are distinctive markers of space even though they are overshadowed by the higher, newer towers, constantly emerging around us. For some, vintage or iconic buildings represent colonialism’s domination. The oil on canvas painting, Dominion Building I, has elicited intriguing, personal stories. The building continues to be a home for diverse individual, collective, professional, and creative endeavours.
