Note:

As an abstract painter and Registered Clinical Counsellor, Laurel works with the emotional landscape. She abstracts the tangle of our emotional storms and our calm inner seas rendered in paint, colour, expressive pencil and charcoal marks, and rich texture. She is particularly interested in the themes of transition, struggle, and growth, and is inspired by human development, psychology, and working in her role as a therapist in private practice. Laurel's paintings celebrate the value of struggle in our messy, very human lives and the power of creativity to improve our mental health and wellness.
