DESERT FORMS (FROM THE AEGEAN SUITE), OCTOBER 1970-JUNE 1971

Colour lithograph with embossing on handmade paper supplied by Barcham Green with his watermark "BH"; signed and numbered 22/60 in pencil to margin. Published in a total edition of 90 of which the "home" edition is numbered 1-60/60, as is this lot, and the overseas edition numbered XI-30/30. Printed and published by Curwen Studio, London, with their blindstamp lower left margin on sheets approximately 32" x 32". Accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity from the Director of Christie's Contemporary Art.

Hepworth began working on the Aegean Suite of lithographs in October 1970 in St. Ives and it was completed at the Curwen Studio, London in June 1971 under the direction of Stanley Jones.
