Note:

David Blackwood was born in 1941 in Wesleyville at Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland, into a family with a long seafaring tradition. His great-grandfather, Captain Ned Bishop, the subject of this lot, his grandfather, Captain Albert Blackwood, was in command of the S.S. Imogene, and his father, Edward, was a skipper in the fisheries.
