Traces of gilding or old lacquer on the handle and around spout; a few very minor dents and some fine surface scratching; stand cracked at one joint of burner ring; otherwise substantially in good condition; good marks on base of kettle, except maker’s mark DG, which is indistinct; the burner by another maker, IS or SI; stand is apparently unmarked except for later tax mark
