Lot Report

Note:

My overall practice deals with issues surrounding gender, identity and sexuality. History and consumerism are a constant underlining theme in my photo-based works exploring concepts of heritage, culture and immigration.

[My] photograph Play Ball (2012) is from the series Ken’s Portraits that is linked to the series What I Did On My Summer Vacation. It investigates the thin line between masculine and feminine and the twelve portraits of Ken dolls pulls the viewer into a fantasy world. Each doll is meticulously dressed in vintage clothing.
