Note:

Here in this work by an unidentified artist, an animated and skillfully carved dog relaxes outside of a charmingly eccentric igloo rendered in the soft tactile stone sometimes used in Kugluktuk (Coppermine).

Acquired by Hugo Vaes in the mid-1950s while stationed in the Arctic alongside the Canadian Army.
