Lot Report

Provenance:

Collected directly from the artist by the vendor while working on an Arctic cargo ship in the early 1990s.

Note:

It was described to the vendor by Judas (through an interpreter) that the work depicts a Shaman whose animal skin parka is infested with worms. A worm is seen entering the shaman's ear on the right side of the piece. This induces the transformation into a musk ox and is the cause for the grimacing facial expression.
