Note:

Benjamin Sayre Cory Kilvert was born in 1879 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He was the son of Francis Edwin Kilvert, mayor of Hamilton, Ontario (1877-78).  He left Canada to study at the Art Students' League in New York City under Robert Henri (1865-1929), the Ashcan artist. He died in New York City in 1946.
