The artist is recorded in Edan Hughes' "Artists in California: 1786-1940" as having been born in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a teacher and painter who resided in New York City and Altadena, California.

The artist was a member of the California Art Club; the Pasadena Society of Artists; the Pasadena Fine Art Society and the San Diego Art Gallery. She exhibited in Paris, Boston and California from 1900 to 1930.
