Provenance:

The consignor lived and worked in various communities across the Canadian Arctic. As a nurse she met many artists and came to know them personally. While in Povungnituk, she was directed to Joe after inquiring about purchasing something unique and unlike anything the other artists were producing. She found what she was seeking in this ‘Joe Hunter’, complete with hunting tools and with the artist’s characteristic repaired arm.
