Great art is great art, whatever the medium
We wholeheartedly share the view: “Great art is great art, whatever the medium”.
And like Bloomberg News writer James Tarmy, we agree that: “Prints might be an entry point into the art market, specialists say, but it’s increasingly clear that for many, the category has become a destination in itself over the last two years or so.”
The appeal to collectors is clearly being able to own a work by a well-known artist at a lower price. Market research also shows that Fine Art photography continues to increase in popularity as another option to find high-quality pieces at a reasonable price point.
Our Fine Prints and Photography features both classic and cutting edge works from a multitude of important international artists. One of our favourites is this sensual masterpiece lot 74: Dunes, Oceano, 1936, from the pioneering genius Edward Weston.
