Gilt Bronze Figure of Mahakala, Tibeto-Chinese, 17th/18th Century
Finely cast, striding in pratyalidha on a prostrate figure of an elephant-headed deity on a separate lotus base with the principal right hand holding a vajra chopper and left with a skull bowl, the wrathful face surmounted by flame-like red hair behind the skull crown
height 6.5" — 16.5 cm.
