The rounded hexagonal vase pierced on three sides alternating with panels decorated in polychrome enamels and gilt with scenes of ladies and children engaged in kitsuke (kimono preparation), courtesans enjoying cherry blossoms, and two sparrows mid flight amongst cherry blossoms, signed on the base 'Ryozan' with the Yasuda Company trademark and the Shimazu family crest
