Note:

Born 1957 in Prague, Czechoslovakia, Andrew Valko came to Canada in 1968.

Valko has a Diploma in Graphic Design and Applied Arts from Red River Community College, Winnipeg, Manitoba. In 1983 and 1985 he studied printmaking with Toshi Yoshida at Yoshida Hanga Academy, Tokyo, Japan. Andrew Valko lives in Winnipeg and Vancouver.

Elected to the Royal Canadian Academy of the Arts in 1995, his exhibition credits include numerous national and international solo and group shows in Canada, USA, Germany, Japan and Taiwan.

Valko's work is represented in a wide range of public, corporate and private collections. He has done commissions for Canada Post Corporation and Royal Canadian Mint, and numerous portrait commissions for The University of Manitoba, Manitoba Government and the City of Winnipeg.
