FOUR DRAWINGS: LE SONGE D’UNE NUIT D’HIVER (2 STUDIES FOR A WINTER NIGHT’S DREAM), AUGUST 19TH, 1933 (CONTAINED IN ONE FRAME); WITH TWO OTHERS: “’LES COCARDES’ COSTUME”; “’SURPRISES’ DECOR”
Four pen and ink drawings on japon paper; the first two, framed together, with a typed descriptive sheet accompanying the work, dated “August 19th, 1933”, headed “A Winter Night’s Dream” with instructions annotated as follows: “Big square pillars of glass are placed on the stage (see plan). The back part of the stage is entirely covered with mirrors representing big blocks of ice, a tropical garden of glass is seen...”; the latter two, titled in pen and ink upper right. Contained in three frames.
