Note:

Nephrite Jade was highly valued throughout the Arctic as a raw material for manufacturing stone tools, and has been found in archeological contexts, including burials, as early as A.D. 500.

This particularly large early blade of unknown date was collected by former Northern Affairs Administrator Archibald Frederick Flucke in the early to mid 20th century.
