Lot Report

Provenance:

Estate of W.A. Ross MacFadden, Toronto, ON

Note:

An elegantly balanced composition and delightful image of maternal affection by the artist Mary Pudlat. While Pudlat is well known for her images of human subjects, and particularly for her handling of fine details of costume, here she has shown the same attention to the patterning and colouration of the young ptarmigan and its snow white mother.
