Lot Report

Provenance:

Sotheby Parke Bernet (Canada) Inc., auction, Toronto, May 14-15, 1979, lot 168.
Joyner Fine Art Inc., auction, Toronto, November 28-29, 1989, lot 95.
Private Collection, Toronto.

Note:

Painted circa 1907-1910.

According to Lucie Dorais, the two shades of blueness of both the sky and the sea is very reminiscent of a whole series of canvases that Morrice painted at St. Malo.

We thank Lucie Dorais for assistance in cataloguing this lot.
