Note:
Val Bertoia (1949-) worked with his father, Harry Bertoia, from 1972 until his death in 1978 then carried on his father’s legacy at Bertoia Studio. Harry was a prominent sculptor and thinker of his time who invented sound-sculptures that he referred to as “Sonambients,” which he produced on both intimate and grand scales. After 1978, Val began a numbering system that started with B-01.
