Note:

A portrait created in 2019 that was highly inspired by photographer Andreas Poupoutsis. It talks about the fears, struggles, and insecurities we face, and about having to hide behind these masks because we feel silenced and feel like we have to put on this fake persona to try and fit in with the rest. The mask however, also represents protection.

About the Artist:
My name is Rafael Flores and I am a fine art, conceptual, and self portrait photographer living in Toronto, Ontario. A lot of my work is dark, and might even seem "creepy", however, this is my way to get my message across, and it is my way of dealing with a lot of emotion and self doubt. My main goal is to hopefully have others relate to my work and see that there can be beauty in darkness.
