Lot Report

Note:

This image was taken at the Frieze Art Fair. It was from a corner of a much larger installation that was a tableau of an "imagined" artist's residence/studio. I snapped the image because I loved the uncanny juxtaposition of these two icons of history bizarrely finding themselves cheek to cheek in 2014. They were, and still are, enormously influential and endlessly fascinating.

About the Artist:
Susan Gouinlock is a Graduate of the OCAD Thesis Photography Program, 2006. Now retired, Susan was variously a portrait photographer, an interiors' photographer, and a willing contributor to her friends' empty living room walls. Susan now passes her time sewing quilts, practicing ukulele, learning Italian, making marmalade, growing vegetables, and shooting this glorious, wonderful world.
