Lot Report

Note:

Growing up my family never took summer holidays, financially we weren't able to. Now this is a new recurring experience of family time each year for me. This is one in a series of holiday scenes on this theme from the Italian Riviera culture.

About the Artist:
Alexander Alter divides his time between Toronto and Milan. His artistic practice began as an examination of his upbringing in suburban Toronto; this led him to a broader contextualization of his work and further development within his visual language. Alter approaches his work by using a 'montage palette'. Interrupting and re-adapting conventional approaches, he melds photography, drawing and painting.
