Note:

This totem was modeled after a frontal post outside a house in Skedans known as "House Mother" belonging to a Raven family. The top figure has been identified as Bear Mother, a story depicting the woman who became part bear after marrying a grizzly bear.

The original totem, measuring approximately 36 feet tall, had fallen and started decaying. The top part of the totem was salvageable and is included in the collection of the University of British Columbia.
