Éditions d'Art, Paris, 1966. Hardcover, limited first edition. Uncut. Original red silk portfolio with gold lettering on spine and front cover, housed in the original red cloth slipcase.
This remarkable work on the life and work of Ossip Zadkine (1890-1967), the renowned Russian-born French painter and sculptor, contains 25 texts by the artist, and is exquisitely illustrated with 24 tipped-in b/w photographs. This copy (No. 66) is one of 100 (numbered 26 to 100) containing an original signed and numbered 66/100 etching by Ossip Zadkine, and a laid-in original photograph of a Zadkine sculpture. Published by Arted, Editions d'Art in 1966.
