Provenance:

Galerie de Bellefeuille, Montreal from whom purchased by the present Private Collection, Toronto on April 19, 2016 accompanied by the original receipt

Note:

David Drebin is a leading figure in both Canadian and American contemporary photography. Working out of New York City, Drebin’s cinematic and fantastical photographs bring forth dramatic vigour and emotion. With the themes that celebrate the sensual side of life, such as femme fatales and architecture, Drebin is able to capture the beauty that perhaps goes unnoticed in our daily lives. Dedicated to the magnificence of San Francisco’s skyline and its iconic bridge, Balloons Over San Francisco, 2016 presents a view that not many are privy to – a multitude of red and pink balloons billowing across the matching scarlet-coloured bridge and defining a sense of motion, capturing a delightful moment in time.
